Hi,

We are using create on transition plugin for jira5.0.7. Now we are planning to migrate to jira6.1.For jira 5.0.7 we are using create on transition2.3 but from version 3.0 they have make it as a paid version. when we try to create the issues for the customized issuetype without the plugin, the issue is not getting created.we are getting the error"could not find function provider class". Can anyone please explain how to resolve this error. Whether this "create on transition plugin" is really required and please explain me what this plugin is doing?

Kindly Help

Thanks,

Jayasingh

I think you've answered your own question - if you don't install a plugin, you can't use it's functions, and so you have to remove all the calls that use it.

The plugin is not required at all, but if you want to remove it, you are going to have to remove all the settings that attempt to use it.

In the workflow which is associated to your project, go to the postfunctions of create transition and confirm that postfunctions from create on transition plugin removed or not.

A quick way to see where it may be used can be found by doing a query - see How to find where COT functions are used
