Which workflow status does Release Version check?

Hi again,

I would like to know which workflow status is being checked when I release a Version? Does JIRA check if all the issues that have that Version as a Fix Version/s are in a status like resolved, done, accepted or such? How can I found that out or configure it?

Hi Lorendana,

Release Version only checks against the resolution field and fix version field in JIRA.

Hi Gary,

So JIRA checks all User Stories that have that particular Fix Version and the Resolution "Fixed" ?

If there are User Stories that have the same Fix Version and the Resolution is not "Fixed" yet, will the Version still be released?

It is not about a particular value of 'Fixed' in resolution that JIRA checks. If there is any value for the resolution field, JIRA considers that as done.
