Why are my issues not showing on Active sprint board when i set swimlanes by Epic?

I want to use the swimlanes by Epic features on the active sprint board. If you have issues from more than one Epic on the board then this works fine. If you only have issues from one Epic then you see no swimlanes and no issues at all. Is this a problem with Jira or am i missing something incredibly obvious???

p.s Epics are all from the same project

Would you please post your board filter?  That will help people diagnose this issue.

This situation might occur when your filter is excluding epics.

Board filter is as follows:

project = WP2 AND "Feature Team" = "Feature Team 1" ORDER BY Rank ASC

Thanks, Ben.  I was unable to replicate the issue you are seeing...without the feature team field.  Is that a custom field you added?

Hi Bill. Yes it is a 'multi-option, single selection' custom field.

it does show issues on the board but only if there are issues from more than one EPIC. If all the issues are from a single EPIC then you see nothing.

Okay, one more thing to try, and then I would suggest submitting a defect for this issue...

Take your board filter, and use it with Issues and Filters to see if you get back what you expect.  That could reveal there is something different in the issues which is preventing them from appearing.
