Why can I add status + columns as project admin?

Hi,

I have a project where I am the project admin but not the board admin. The project uses the Simplified Workflow. I can edit the board in this project. I can add statuses and columns.
In the official Atlassian learning video "Getting more from Jira workflows" I found this illustration (see attached). According to the figure in the learning video, as a Project Admin (not a Board Admin, not a Jira Admin), I should not be able to add columns and statuses to the board.

Can anyone help me out with this?

The Image is application to the "Jira Workflow" Not For "Simplified Workflow"

As you are using Simplified Workflow and you are Project Administrator you are able to edit the workflow by adding and removing the columns

The whole point of "simplified workflow" is that a project/board admin can edit the workflow by adding and removing columns!
