Why can all team members delete a project?

Hello. Why can all team members delete a project? How to configure so that only the administrator can delete the project?

Hi @Google Account To delete a project user must have a Administer Jira global permission as mention in the below document.

User first need to move the project trash and he can delete the same.

Please check the global permission on your instance that how many groups are added to the Administer Jira permission and remove the unwanted groups which you want not to delete the projects, also you can update the group member ship of the groups if they not to have admin permissions on your Jira instance

Hi @Google Account,

It seems you are on a free plan, which has very limited options when it comes to configuring permissions. All users on a free plan do have project admin permissions, which includes the permission to delete projects. You can read more background info in this support article.

Upgrading to a standard or premium plan does give you more control over permissions. In those plans, you can restrict admin permissions to the users of your choice. Only those would be able to - among other admin tasks - delete a project.

I'd guess you've made them all administrators - admins can delete projects.
