We have multiple Scrum teams and multiple projects with logging work turned on as optional. We have been logging work since these projects have been set up without issues.
So, why is it that 1 specific user, who can edit and make comments on issues, cannot log work? He can pull up the screen and enter the date and hours; however, he clicks the "Log" button and nothing happens - no message, the screen doesn't close, and no work is logged. He can only click the "Cancel" button at that point.
Please note that he CAN use his mobile phone to log work but not on his Windows 10 laptop. So far, we have only looked at his laptop and browser settings to no avail.
Please help!
Hi @George Baker Welcome to Atlassian Community!
can you make sure if that user has "Work on issues" permissions on the project. if you have Project admin access, you can navigate to project settings -> permissions and check the permissions.

All permissions within JIRA that he would need to log work are enabled. Those permissions are global (all of JIRA) and others can log work so it probably is not a permissions issue. The fact that login hangs in Chrome coupled with the inability to log work tells me there's something unique about his setup.

It turns out that a cache clear and restart resolved the issue. I'm glad because nothing else made sense.
Thanks for your reply!

@George Baker I'm glad clearing the cache helped resolve the problem. :)
