Why can't I add 'copy comments' as a post function?

I want to copy comments across to a linked issue and I've followed the JIRA guide on how to do this however when I get to the 'add post functions' screen 'copy comments' is not in the list.

I was able to previously copy comments but something must have changed to remove this option. Help is appreciated.

I see that you're cloud. I haven't seen the copy comment on cloud in a while. Can you share the link for the guide you are talking about?

The best way to do this now will be with a free add-on like automation for jira.

The other link you provided is for cloned issues, whereas I need it for linked issues.
