I have two separate Jira cloud instances. Why can't I stay logged into both even though they are on separate _.atlassian.net domains? Can we have the feature to log into multiple Atlassian accounts simultaneously?

You can use two different browser or incognito/private mode as a workaround for now. There is an open issue and it is in short term road-map.
