I went to complete a current sprint, when doing so I selected the option to move my unresolved issues to the next sprint. I noticed that all of my "done" issues have also moved to the next sprint. Is there something wrong with my workflow status or sprint set-up? I do not want the items which have been completed in one sprint to move to the next or to the backlog. I only want those items which are unresolved to move to next sprint or backlog.
Please help my board is extremely messy and confusing now.
Hi @[deleted] ,
If you have parent issues that are not 'Done' but have sub-tasks that are all 'Done', the parent issues will still be moved to the selected future sprint or to the Backlog. If these parent issues are part of another active sprint, the previously completed sub-tasks are still 'Done'.
BTW: How do you configure the column management? Any screenshots will be helpful.
Actually I realized that the Resolution is being set to "Unresolved" even when my issue is marked as "Done". How do I set the resolution to "Resolved" for my issues that have a status of "Done"

Reopen these Issues, and set their preset resolution value through the workflow, or display the value on the screen for the user to choose and then close the Issue again.

Hi @Ollie Guan , I am still having issues when closing a sprint. I have a few different statuses i.e. Feature Review, Done and Cancelled (which for us mark the end of a sprint).
Transition post status for resolution is set as follows:
However, I notice that stories in status of done and cancelled move into the next sprint. which Feature review is considered as completed. Any Idea why that would be the case?

Hi @[deleted] ,
Please check Mapping statuses to columns in board settings.
The single right-most column will always be green, representing items in a 'successful' state.
Therefore, it is necessary to match the final status columns to the right.

I have same problems where completed/done issues without child or parent issues gets moved through to next sprint.
My solutions is to create an automation rule. When issues are transitioned to Complete/Done, the automation rule edit the Issue (specifically, clears the active sprint of the issue). Therefore these completed issues would be removed to the active sprint. So, at the end of the sprint, when I have to close the active sprint and start a new one, these completed sprint wont be moved to the next sprint anymore, as they dont have sprint in them anymore.

A few questions that may guide this question:
1. Does any of those done issues have unresolved sub-task? If they do, then your issues will still carry forward.
2. What is the resolution on the issues? If it's unresolved and the issue is close/done/resolved, it isn't resolved until the resolution actually is another value other then unresolved.
