There is a known issue with the "Task Management" blueprint for business projects where the "Resolution" field is required and appears on the edit screen.
This means that if you create an issue in a business project using this blueprint and click the "Edit" button, you will not be able to update the issue without filling in the Resolution field. However, you can edit any field directly from the View Issue page by simply clicking on the field. For a more permanent workaround, see below.
This bug will be fixed in JIRA Cloud soon (October 19) and in JIRA Core 7.0.1.
To fix this issue in existing projects, for the affected project, go to Project Administration > Screens. Then look for the screen "XYZ: Task/Management Edit/View Issue Screen" where XYZ is your project key. Click the link to go configure the screen, find the "Resolution" field, and click the remove button.
