Why do fields not show in nextgen projects?

I have created a Hardware Request issue type and VM Request issue type in a NextGen Srum project.  The fields do not show for my or my users the way I have set them up.  

 Also, whenever I remove the "HOSTNAME" or any other field from one issue, it gets removed from the other.  

I havent been able to find an answer from the new documentation.

Just for us to better understand and help you with this issue, can you please let us know if the fields are not showing on the create or view screen?
Related to removing a field, you just drag and drop the field to the right side or do you delete the field?
