Why do we see duplicate entries in the "Linked issues" drop-down?

Is there any way to avoid the duplicate entries in the "Linked issues" drop-down?

We see these duplicates when we are on an existing issue and we click the "Link issue" button.  When anyone does this, and they open the Linked issues drop down you get these entries:

blocks

clones

is cloned by

clones

is cloned by

has dependency

is dependent on

has dependency

is dependent on

...

Is there something about our Jira that is miss-configured perhaps?

HI. Delete unnecessary on the page <jira-url> /secure/admin/ViewLinkTypes!default.jspa
