Hi and Welcome, 

The Jira Automation actor may not have the necessary permissions to perform certain actions. For example, if the rule tries to transition an issue or edit a field that the automation user does not have access to, it will fail.

Checking the audit log for the automation rule can provide insights into why it failed. The log will often contain error messages that can help diagnose the issue.
