Hello,
The Start Date value is automatically changed whenever I add a label to an Initiative, Epic or Task, which in turn pulls it in my Advanced Roadmap/Plan through a query. Below are the steps to reproduce:
1. Create Initiative, leave Start Date blank
2. Add label
Result: the system makes the Project Lead automatically change the Start Date. See below screenshot:
Another occurrence of this issue is on the Advanced Roadmap where I try and correct the Start Date but to no avail. After removing the Start Date, the Start Date is automatically rolled up. When saving the changes to Jira and doing a refresh the values are changed again. See below:
This happens to existing items in the plan and also right after creating new items. No matter if they're labelled or not. The thing they have in common, despite the project they're from, is that they're connected to this Plan and are created by me.
Note: a Start Date prior to 2023 remains unchanged. See below picture:
Any support to resolve this is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Victor
Hi @Gunyong
Can you check...
Have you also checked with the Project Lead, see if they know why this might happen?
Ste
Hi @Ste Wright
Thanks for the quick reply!
There are no Automation Rules set that affect labels or start date.
As for the Workflow, there are no special rules setup. It's just the plain To Do > In Progress > Done.
There are 3 projects included in my Plan and the issue does not discriminate between them. I am the Project Lead of 1 and the other Project Lead also doesn't know what might be causing this.
Thanks for having a look into this!

Hi @Gunyong
Do you have Scriptrunner or a similar scripting App, given it's Server?
Could a script be causing this to happen?

Hi @Ste Wright
I don’t know what scripts might be running so I’ll check with my IT team when they’re back on Monday and let you know.
Thanks for the replies and have a good weekend!

Hi @Gunyong
Welcome to the community!
Did you check whether any automation rules are present that is triggering when the label value is changed and updating the State Date accordingly?
Thanks,
Vamsi

Hi @Vamsi Kandala,
Thanks for the warm welcome and quick reply!
I just checked and there are no automation rules that relate to the issue I'm facing.
