Why does the severity field show up for bug and not Bugs_(Sub-task) when both use the same screens ans schemes

I have the issue types of Bugs and a sub-task Bugs_

When I try to convert a bug to bug_ the severity fields does not get brought over or show up when I try to edit the sub-task. I have them both using the same screen scheme and field scheme.

Please advise

Is the Severity field configured for Bugs? I would look at the context for the custom field.
