Right now there is a sprint in progress and I needed to extract a report from the this sprint with stories and tasks. Whenever I try to extract a report it doesn't show any stories or tasks from this sprint. What am I doing wrong ?

Hi @Sara Shahin ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

Exactly which report are you trying to generate?

Do you have open and resolved stories/tasks in the sprint?

Best regards,

Kris

Hello,

Welcome to the community :)

  1. The Sprint Report points to information included initially in the sprint (what the team actually committed to). That being said, if you add an issue with zero story points to a sprint, start the sprint and then change the story points, you will see the initial value in the sprint report.

  2. Statuses are not properly mapped to Columns on the board's configuration

  3. Double check the status mappings within the board's configuration and ensure statuses are properly mapped to columns.

Thank You,

Prachi

Can we assuming you're talking about this report ?

Project > [Board] > Reports > Sprint Reports

The sprint reports offer data such as

  1. How many story points were added over the scope of the sprint
  2. How many story points were completed over the scope of the sprint
  3. How many story points remained after the scope of the sprint

Hence, the sprint has to be completed to produce these reports.

What you could do, to

  • find the issues in your current sprint is to try some JQL
project = [projectKey] and Sprint = [SprintID]
  • interrogate your current sprint

Use the sprint insights for a health check of your current sprint.
