Why i am unable to move the task which is completed to done status. Even the subtask also completed

Kindly check your workflow statuses and their might not be direct path/transition to the done status.

Also, you can check if there is any validator/condition which should be fulfiled before moving the done status.

Yes i checked. The thing is since the team has completed the task i am unable to drag that item to completed column. In general we can drag the issues across columns right

No, behind the column there is mapping of workflow status. There should be transition defined from the column(status) you are currently at and the Done column(check the status from the board configuation). If there is not direct path you would not be able to make the transition.

Nope i didnt get any error message

For this I would set up an automation that would transfer stories automatically to done status once when the subtasks are completed.
