Why is Activity Stream showing Tempo Timesheet logged X hours and not the actual user?

Liviu Simu August 19, 2021

Hi all,

For some reason in the Activity Stream it appears that "Tempo Timesheets logged '1 hour' on DPI-432 - Testing stuff" instead of showing the actual name of the user who logged that time. I have been trying to find out why unsuccessfully so far.

Please note this is a Trial version, we have done an initial import and are testing various things. Tempo is also part of the 30 day trial period, not sure if it matters.

Best Regards.

Hi @Liviu Simu ,

The JIRA Activity stream retrieves worklog information directly from the JIRA database.

When logging time in Tempo, the timespent information is synced to JIRA but the worklog author and description are anonymized. The worklog author is anonymized to "Tempo Timesheets".

Please take also a look at https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/488931333/Why+do+the+worklogs+appear+with+the+author+Tempo+Timesheets+instead+of+the+user+s+name for more information.
