When typing in my company Atlassian URL, it takes anyone with our URL to an open facing JIRA dashboard with all our issues displayed to all and any internet users. The URL should take me to a log in screen for my company, not directly to our JIRA instance with all our open issues. Is this a bug or is there additional permission configurations we have to do?
Please check your permission matrix for the Browse Project Permission and check if it has Permission Group(anyone) Set.
If that is present, then delete that permission.
My Create Independent Projects had anyone as a setting, no other permission setting had anyone. Therefore, I removed that and added Jira-core users groups and other company groups that were applicable. However, when accessing JIRA via our URL, I can still select projects from the main screen, and the projects page displays, but when I try to select a particular project, I can do that, then when I try to select an issue in the project, the login screen appears. I select the login button, but the application will not display the login screen. The button does not activate anything.
So any user with the URL can still access our internal JIRA project, but cannot see any issue details, but no one in the company can log in now. What could be the issue now? What else can I try?
