Will I miss out on anything by choosing Next-Gen?

I'm starting a new software project for my company. The roadmap feature in Next-Gen is mighty tempting. But I'm worried that I'll loose out on some essential features by not going Classic.

What are ppls thought on that?

And is it possible to get a Roadmap chart when working with a classic project?

Hi Frimann,

First, no it is not possible to have a Roadmap with a classic project in out of the box Jira. There are add-ons and other third party tools like Aha! that can help you do that. Or Portfolio for Jira. 

With Next-Gen projects you lose the ability to use shared Schemes like permission schemes, screen schemes, etc. Each Next-Gen project it independent from all other projects. But the team using the Next-Gen project can completely and independently administer their own project without affecting others.
