With 1 project 2 Board for 2 teams with stories filtered by component can we have diferent sprints?

We are starting a project with users stories in 1 project and we have 2 teams that will work on different stories board filter based on component.

Can we have in each board different sprints with different dates?

Can we have velocity chart independently in each board?

Is there any drawback in doing this way vs have 2 different projects for these 2 teams?

I really need your help in making this decision.

Yes each scrum board has it's own sprints, so if you have two different scrum boards, each could have unique sprints and schedule.  Velocity charts are based on sprints, so yes the charts would be independent as well. 

As far as drawbacks, I personally think there is less overhead as a jira admin or project manager in only managing one project as opposed to two, but it also depends on the business need and how your teams are organized.
