Good morning.

Inside Jira is there a way to create a project with a series of tasks that can be completed by different users? The tasks must be completed in order to reduce errors and ensure it is completed correctly.

For Example: A new project is started. User 1 is responsible for task 1,2,3. After these tasks have been completed. Notification is sent to User 2. Who completes task .4,5,6. Notification should only be sent to user 2 after user 1 has completed his required assignments.

Thank you!

Hi @Kofi Adu-Amankwah

There are few possibilities.

You can create these tasks automatically and assign it to others, however it will be difficult to enforce the order of these tasks.

The other option could be to define a workflow for your use case. Then create tasks using automation when the main issue is moved from one state to another, use condition in the workflow to disallow user to proceed further in the workflow.

I would say look at Workflows and Automations to solve your problem.

Using automation rules you can send notifications as well.

Hi Ravi,

Do you have a step-by-step guide or video tutorial on how I can set this up?

Thanks
