Workflow transition button missing from the issue view page in JIRA Cloud?

I have attached 2 attachments - one shows how the workflow button is displayed on the issue view page (server version) and the other is how it displays in cloud version.

Question - is that how it displays by default and if so is there a way to get it to display like it does in server version?

Hi Laura, yes the Cloud version is most certainly different. It used to be closer to the server view but that changed quite awhile back. Unfortunately there is no way to change this. Note too that the any invalid transitions will not show in the list. That is, if you can’t transition from the current status to another status due to workflow constraints/design the the transition will not display.

May be you need use the old view in Jira, for this you can use. This options is for a one ticket but not for default. You can read more in: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-work-management/docs/what-is-the-new-jira-issue-view/

Thank you I guess they can do this until the option gets taking away permanently
