Kajol Saifi June 21, 2023

Hi,

I am planning to buy a third-party application " Worklogs - Time Tracking & Reports" which cost me USD 700 annually and there is total user number is 117. I just Want to buy this app for Max 10 people. Can you please guide me that how can I buy this app merely for 10 Users as the entire organization (117 Users) doesn't require it?

Hi @Kajol Saifi

With the way Atlassian Marketplace and Jira itself work, it's not possible to buy any app for just select users in your instance. That's why with higher user count the price per user usually drops very significantly.

If you're looking for a lightweight solution for a small team, you might want to look into free time-tracking apps. One of such apps is our Clockwork Free. It provides cool time-tracking and reporting features.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Wojciech

Hi @Kajol Saifi , @Wojciech Wardaszko ,

Tracking time on Jira can be annoying switching tabs, so we created a free add-on called Timkee to simplify the process for macOS. When used in combination with Tempo, Timkee automatically syncs all time logs, streamlining the creation of reports. These reports can easily be exported to CSV or Excel, allowing for customized filtering as needed. If you want take a look on your page and it's free plug-in that can be downloaded on the App Store https://timkee.io/https://apps.apple.com/us/app/timkee/id1670602751?ign-itscg=30200&ign-itsct=apps_box_link .

Cheers,

Fabian

One another alternate you can try:

Jira Assistant is one of the free (Open Source) alternate which not just helps generating worklog and sprint report but also supports time tracking with calendar and timer.

Hi,

quite a lot of useful hints here, thanks for that.

In our teams, we have some concerns about the visibility of logged work to every team member, saying: any member can look at the logged work of other team members in the group. There is a fear of monitoring each other...

Does anyone know, how to restrict access to your own logged work only ?

Kind regards
