Hi,

I encounter the following situation: the estimate was added in the Story Points field before the task was moved to the sprint, but in the Sprint Report it appears as if it was estimated when it was already added to the sprint (- → 3) .

How can I correct this situation so that the report displays the data correctly?

Hi Florina,

Not entirely sure here but I'm assuming that if you are using the Sprint Report chart, then that Sprint is already in progress - meaning that if you are adding an issue to it, with an estimate, then you are effectively incurring a scope creep.

Based on that I would find it understandable that it acts as if you increased the estimate, because that is what you have actually done in the scope of the sprint -- taking into account it is already in progress.

It might not explain why you are seeing " - -> 3", which might be due to other things as well such as the issue being moved out and back in to the sprint, or under some other corner-case scenario, but in the end I can't think of any consequence this would create, since the scope creep has happened one way or another.

What is the practical impact, and are you able to reproduce it?

Thanks,
Radek
