A coworker sent me a link to a different project in JIRA than the one I use on a daily basis. Ever since then, when creating new issues, the "Project" dropdown has been populated with that other project, no matter how many times I create a new issue with my normal project. This is incredibly frustrating as I always now have to add one more step to change the project back to the one I use. Any solution out there?
Hi Michael,
It tends to default to the last project you were performing actions on.
Maybe go to your normal board for your project and move a test card or some other card.
My understanding is that JIRA cloud uses the last project you accessed. Have you tried changing your default URL link to match the project you use daily, create a new issue, and then see if it sticks/remembers?
Best regards,
Bill

You noted that someone sent you a link to a project that you do not use regularly, and that you have been accessing JIRA that way, as your default.
Instead, you could navigate to the project you regularly use, and then save that URL.
For example,
your_company_name.atlassian.net/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?projectKey=MY_PROJECT_KEY

I've since been using a link to that project that I have bookmarked... hasn't helped. But thanks for the suggestion.
