Hi everyone,
we're using JIRA data center 9.4.5 in combination with Xray. There is a mysterious issue: When trying to use the filter under the test section in a test plan or test execution the simple filter is blank. There are no predefined sections or drop-down-fields it's just blank. There's the More button and I'm able to browse through options but also after selection and applying the basic tab remains blank. The advanced tab allows me to enter JQL.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
Patrick
To use those default options, related test in the test-plan require to have this information set.
You can scroll down in this window as well. There is a more option, where you can define more fields. This might be fields that do contain information.
The items in the test plan, mostly tests will require to have information set vin a field you want to filter on.
This field is not the same field as the normal issue search from Jira.
See example below.
On my test in the test plan the field MXA is used, if I add this via more and open the dropdown, the options are there.
Hey @Marc - Devoteam
thanks for your quick feedback. I noticed that we don't really use test sets, maybe this could be related to the issue. No matter, which box I'm checking under more no option is showing up.

Then you need to speak with your admin.
The options are related to the fields on the screen or screen used by an issue type in Jira.
All default or able to choose fields from the more option are fields related to the test set or test issue types created and included in the test plan.
On those created issues any information related to a field in the filtering require this information to be set.
Test this by example to create some test, add components (if possible). Create a test plan add your created tests and the component dropdown should have values to choose from

Thanks @Marc - Devoteam
I'll do some testing and hope to find the "bug" ;)
Will post my findings here in case there'll be some.
