Your Work permissions

Can we configure permissions on Your Work? Specifically the default "Worked on" tab?

Our users are able to see tickets in projects they cannot access. They cannot view ticket details, fortunately, but I don't even want them seeing the titles and assignees of tickets, unless they have a specific role assigned to that project.

@Greg Tucker I do not believe it is possible to configure the Your Work pages, as they are just a default build-in feature of Jira.

The tasks seen in the Worked On tab however should only display the tasks that users have created/updated/commented on, so I am slightly confused with how tasks are being displayed here that the users do not have access to. What does the issue action say for these tasks, e.g. 'Commented on', 'Created' etc.? This might give you some kind of clue if there are any permissions that you might need to change - e.g. maybe users are able to create an issue in a project but are unable to view/edit them

@Callum Carlile _Automation Consultants_ thanks for the reply. The actions include at least Created, Updated, and Commented on.

Something I should note is I am using the Login As feature from my administrator account. So it's possibly just a defect of that feature. I can configure a test account and login to it directly from another browser window.

Confirmed. the issue appears to be just an artifact of the Login As feature of Administrators. I created a new account with the permissions that we give to users and found I could not see all the other non-related issues in Your Work.

@Greg Tucker So when you use the Login As feature and log in as a different user and interact with issues, are you saying that the user would then see these issues under 'Your Work', but you are thinking that these tasks should remain 'hidden' as it wasn't actually them interacting with the issues?

Yes, if I understand the question correctly. Using the Login As feature, I saw tickets that I worked on, and (probably) not issues that would be seen by that user. So it was confusing to me whether or not they have access to those issues. I did create another account with similar permissions as the users to confirm what they see, and logged in from another browser.

I can confirm that this bug is still present, if I use the "Login As" feature I am seeing tickets under the "Your Work" tab that the user I am logged in as should NOT see.

I too can confirm that this bug is still present in Jira Cloud as of the date I have posted this.
