We upgraded our jira server (linux) from 5.0.2 to 5.1.
When we try to update issues (for example close the issue) progress bar appears and stays there (nothing happens). If we manually close dialog box and refresh the page then everything is fine (in the given example issue is closed). But we always have to close these dialog boxes manually.
This bug is already reported and valided:
https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/JRAGANTT-456
It is fixed in our source base. The fix will be available in 2.1.6.
Sorry, for this inconvenience.
Thanks, Nic. Yes it's the same resolution, to disable the Gantt Project Plugin. I'm just going to try to downgrade the Gantt Project Plugin to an earlier version, to see if it's not a regression problem but I'm not hopeful :-)
I can't see anywhere that the developers of the Gantt Project have acknowledged the issue. Do you know if anyone has had a response from them?

Oh, I think you might want to have a look at https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/69068/dialog-boxes-do-not-close
Could you both check that and let us know?

I'm getting the same issue after upgrading from 4.4.1 to 5.1. We're getting this is a problem for all dialog boxes. For example when I assign an issue to a new user, when I click the "Assign" button, the progress indicator appears but nothing happens. If I press F5 to refresh, then the underlying issue has been updated with the new assignee.
