Edit: It took more time than expected but I finally made this happen: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.cloud.hackathon/cloud/overview Let me know what you think!
As the person that wrote the original ShipIt Voting plugin I can say that yes, there is a strong chance that I will be converting this plugin into an Atlassian Connect addon and deprecating the BTF addon. This will, however, require a significant time investement on my behalf and it is unlikely to happen until next year. Especially since I am trying to get another 20% project accross the line right now.
The good news though is that I am seeing significant interest in it becoming an Atlassian Connect addon from both inside and outside Atlassian. So upvote this answer if you want to see it happen!
great to see a quick response from yourself. We're just setting up our first hackathon and would have liked to have used this. Hopefully it'll be ready in time for our next one. I, and I am sure others, appreciate the commitment that you make to get these kind of things done.

Hi,
This add-on seems good, in the documentation the link to download the Workflow doesn't work, does someone successfully download it ?
Regards

I should improve the docs, you can get the hackathon workflow from here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.hackathon.workflow
The response is delayed because I've been at AtlasCamp and then on Holidays for the past few weeks. Let me know if this is successful for you but please ask another answers question if you have any issues.
