Did you mean:

assignee in membersOf("") doesnt work

Hi,

My query :

assignee in membersOf("DL ABC - All")

DL ABC - All is a valid group in our outlook address book but Jira doesnt understand. I get the following error for the above query

Function 'membersOf' can not generate a list of usernames for group 'DL ABC - All'; the group does not exist.

Is the issue here that Jira cloud cant reach AD and if so, which settings i need to check ( I am Jira admin)

For User and Group Admin you need Org Admin permission not just Jira Admin I believe.

I'm here because I have a specific scenario where "assignee in membersOf("") doesnt work" for a user already added to relevant user group in Atlassian admin, was expecting it to work instantly but it isn't, not sure if because of a lead time I need to be waiting for or some other problem?

Hello,

I guess this group does not exist in your Jira. Go to user management -> Groups and check for existence of this group.

I would think user management should be under "general settings" in jira cloud but i am not seeing it
