atlassian-addons-project-access is not being added to new projects, and cannot be added manually

Steve Kwan March 6, 2018

The new Atlassian UI prevents me from being able to manually add the atlassian-addons-project-access user to our projects.  This is causing a problem because it appears we have a handful of projects (most of which were created recently) that have not been properly assigned the atlassian-addons-project-access user.  This is odd because this adding this user appears to be in the Project Roles defaults.

I have two questions:

1) What do I do if I need to add this missing user to a project and the new UI does not allow me to?

2) Any ideas why the Project Roles defaults would not be getting set up properly anymore?

Hi Steve,

This groups is related to the add-ons. It's a group already added to the permissions needed for the add-on to work correctly on JIRA. So, don't worry, it should not impact or happen case of missing permissions.

Regarding to your second question, the Project Roles should have the same settings from the old UI. Did you find any other difference besides of the one related to the add-ons?
