automation- linked issues not appearing for clones

Hey team for some reason my automation is not linking the issues. it might be something silly but I assumed this would create a link between cloner and clone 

any help is appreciated

There is another way to link cloned issues together that might be easier for you.

You can try our app Elements Copy & Sync that allows you to clone and sync a full hierarchy of issues with all their content (summary, description, custom fields, comments, attachments, etc). Both apps are automatically linked together.

Do you have permissions to create links in both the source and destination project?

What information is available from the rule execution audit log?

worked it out - i was missing linked issues from one of the screens... silly mistake
