bug when using is empty

different queries that I was using before and including empty (as parent is empty or labels is empty) they have started failing this week.

Example1: project in (XXX) AND fixVersion in ("25.4.1") AND (issuetype = Story or issuetype = Improvement) and status != Done AND (parent not in (YY-25550) or parent is empty)

 Example2: 

(labels not in (corp_blocker, uat_blocker, prod_blocker, polish_mui4) or labels is EMPTY)

Note: the queries were working perfectly before.

there is no error, but it should not show the ticket highlighted in blue because of the parent id exclusion, and ticket and is still there

Hi @lucia_plaza,

Are you running these JQL queries in the Search view? What error message are you getting? I just tried searching for issues using "parent is empty" and can't replicate this bug.
