Would like to create a custom field in Project, so that I can give my own internal id to it.
Is it possible to do
@SHUBHAM JHAWAR Can you specify if you want to create custom fields at project level or at issue level?
If the first is the case, then you will need an app. There are several ones depending on your needs and Profields is the most sophisticated, will solve most use cases.
(Full disclosure: I work for Profields' manufacturer, DEISER)
Hello @SHUBHAM JHAWAR
In Jira you can add custom fields if you have admin rights and then you can configure the custom fields to be mapped with a single project (specific issueType) or map the field to be available globally as well
https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver0711/adding-a-custom-field-955168139.html
Also, jira only supports custom fields only at the issue level and not in the project configuration / project admin section

Hello,
If you are on Cloud then you should use next-gen projects, which will let you create a custom field within a project.
If you are on Server, then you must be a Jira administrator and you can only create global custom fields, which will be available for all projects.
