can you auto create sub tasks without a plugin?

Hello - I would to create sub-tasks automatically whenever I create a new story but my company does not allow plugins. Is there any way in Jira to do this without third party plugins? I am on Jira 8.4. Thank you.

No, you can only do it with a plug-in or automation. You can create a story template with default values for the fields but you can't create sub-tasks with it.
