email ID to which when i send an email, a new task gets created ?

In a Project, where can i get the email ID to which i can send an email which will automatically open a new task in that project ?

Notifications sent from Jira are different from mail handlers receiving mails. But both should work hand in hand to create a good users experience. Read documentation here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/creating-issues-and-comments-from-email-779288896.html

As a regular user you can’t. Ask your admin if there is a mail handler configured.

Could you help with the details of a mail handler which I can get to my Admin with.

For all updates made in Jira, we get email notifications though.

 

And is this something that cannot be done in Jira software and we need to only go for something different like service desk maybe ?
