epic with key does not exist

Good day!

I have such a problem that sometimes when I try to bind a task to an epic (both through the task editor and through the epic itself) the error "epic with key <key> does not exist" is issued.
Moreover, this problem is floating, it may appear, or it may disappear.
Please tell me how to fix this?

Hi! Facing the same problem on Jira Server 8.6.1.

When I try to create story from Epic View Screen (i'm pressing "+" in Issues in Epic section) field "Epic link" have some strange blanc space () and get error "Epic with key 'epic_key' does not exist ". Also in dev console there is an error: "Failed to load resource: /secure/QuickCreateIssue.jspa?decorator=none:1 the server responded with a status of 400 ()" after Create button pressed.

If I edit epic before creation (just press Edit and Update buttons, without any changes) all works well (). From Board all works without problems.

All necessary permissions (Browse projects, Create issues, Link issues, etc.) granted. Security level also set to group where current user exists. 

This problem appears on one project only. Reindex of that project after permission fix was made.

What shall I do to fix the problem?
