Hi All,

I need to archive 30000 issues for contractual purposes, it can be in one big file or multiple smaller files.

I have no requirements on file format or number of files.

What is the best way of doing it?

I also need to export attachments on those issue

Hello @radafshar1983 ,

Thanks for reaching out.  However, Jira Cloud does not have a official Project archive feature at this time, and Jira Server versions only apply to Data Center deployments geared towards enterprise usage, but there are some workarounds with a few levels to look at for project archiving.

Archiving projects is a current focus for enterprise level Jira Cloud Deployments and was announced recently in the "What’s new in Jira Software Cloud"Under the Premium License Coming Soon notes , and this is will be out in the near future.  Also, one of our Jira Software Product Managers @Ben Jackson discusses this in more detail in the following thread:

Currently an official Project Archiving feature is only avaliable to Jira Data Center versions (Details on the feature here) ,  However there are Workaround options in Jira Server Standalone and Jira Cloud to Do Online and Offline archiving .

An Offline Archive applies to Server versions only, and the Online archive option is done by altering permissions to Hide a project or make it read only.

These Processes are covered in the following KB article, noting that the article is noted as a Jira Server Article but the "Online archiving" options, applies to both Cloud and Server, and the Offline Archiving Only applies to Jira Server, as well as a caveat that Jira Cloud Free licenses do not allow modifications to the permissions necessary to perform an online Archive, so this requires a Standard or Premium License to apply the workaround.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Regards,
Earl
