exporting projects to server failed because of newgen projects

On the Jira Administration --> Backup Manager I tried to export my projects so that I could import them on our local jira server. However, I received the following error message:

Back up for server

Your site contains next-gen projects. Jira server products and Jira Data Center don't support these.

The recommendation is to move the issues into a classic project.

However I failed to create a classic project. I could not find this in the documentation.

Hi, grafra@PASS  - Atlassian has changed the names of the project types. What used to be "next-gen" is now called "team-managed", and "classic" is now "company-managed".

If you have access to create company-managed projects, you can do so from the Projects menu or Projects page, and then use a bulk update to move all tickets from your existing team-managed project. If you do not see the options to create a project, you'll need to contact your Jira administrator.

If you do have the option, click Create Project, then go through the next two screens (software/work/human resources, etc.) and scrum or kanban. The third screen is where you choose the management type:
