hello everyone,
i'm quite new here and i was wondering if anyone could help with this issue i'm cuurently experiencing.
When i want to create a project and in the box of 'issue type' ,i keep seeing a message indicating that i do not have permission to create issues on my project and i can't see the options of bug, story or epic in the 'issue type' box
This is really frustrating for me and i would appreciate some help in solving this issue
Hi @Taiwo Adedeji welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Are you experiencing this issue in Jira Software or in Jira Work Management?
Do you happen to know if this is a company-managed or a team-managed project?
With these answers, I'll be able to move this post to the correct Product/Group.
When you create a project [in JIRA software and in JVM] you always choose if project is "Team-managed" or "Company managed". You can check it as below picture shows - the green highlight on the bottom left corner
So, what type is the project we are talking about , the mock one? :)

i'm talking about the mock one and i can't seem to create issues or storiesIn addition to that, I can't see nor have the roadmap, backlog ,board options etc you have on your page.
I have no idea why mine is different. i registered on Jira confluence by the way

Okay, so what you have here is a JVM team-managed project.
What happens when you click "Create" ? Can you make a print screen?
Also, please go to project settings on the far right side of the screen, choose "Permissions" from the left hand menu and check what you have in "Create Issues" - print screen if you can :)

Hi @Dave Mathijs thanks for the swift response
i'm experiencing it on both jira software and jira work management .
i just recently created the account for the sole purpose of my business analysis course which my teacher has advised us all to create and get familiar with jira and we will be having projects to work on very soon
So,its not company managed neither is it team managed for now
