how can I change the default search in the jira quick serach

Hello
I want to change the default search in the quick search box.
the default is: summary ~ <search word> OR description ~ <search word> OR comment ~ <search word>.
the result of this search bring resolved issues as well. this is annoying especially since it wasn't like that in Bugzilla and my users complain about it.

Hi Shalev,

I believe it is not easily possible to change the default behabvior of Quick Search. However it is possibe to specify the issue status that you are looking for on the Quick Search. For example : my open - will give you all open issues reported by current user.
