how can I suppress all notifications on Jira while we are testing functionality?

How can I suppress all notifications on Jira while we are testing functionality? I have a sandbox instance set up with the latest upgrade. I want the team to get in there and test the new functionality, but don't want to gererate alot of confusing notifications. Is there a setting to easily disable all notifications temporarily?

An administrator can log into Jira's system administration screen, select the outgoing mail sidebar item, and click the Disable Outgoing Mail button.

Add "-Datlassian.mail.senddisabled=true" when you start the app up.
