how do i setup an approval workflow for a ticket?

If I create a ticket for the scrap process and want it to go through an approval workflow based on the dollar amount being reworked or scrapped, how do I set that up?

One way of doing this would be to have an automation that checks the amount, and then based on that either transition the work item to the status that requires the approval, or if the amount does not need approval bypass it. In you workflow you can create a transition that is only available for the API (including automations), that way you are hiding the transition from the users.

Another option would be to get a Marketplace app that enhances the workflow so you can set conditions that compare the amount and then either show the transition to the approval or not.
