how to add fields from a linked issue on filter screen of an epic

hi, use epics to act as contracts. we use normal issues to act as a shipment. we need to apply shipments to the contract until the contract quantity has been satisfied. the shipments vary in size so the number of shipments we need to link to a particular epic is unknown unless we can see the quantity of each issue/shipment. there are many contracts/epics and many more shipments/issues.

is there any add on that would work for this purpose? or could a developer accomplish this for the cloud version? I have found some that go on the dashboard but they have not seemed to work the way we need and they only show the sum total of all epics, not each epic broken down individually. or any ways to adjust the filter to give a more information when viewing the epics.

here are some pics to show what I'm trying to explain. when clicking on the epic itself it shows all the issues that have been linked to it but it doesn't show all the fields we would like, i.e. quantity is the main one we need.

the ideal place to show the additional fields. i.e. quantity is on the filter screen itself. since there are so many contracts/epics we can quickly view the landscape and make our decisions.

@Jon,there are some options:

  1. Here is a thread to customize the linked issue section.
  2. Barring customization, you could change one of the custom fields to use a drop down/ counter, then update your query to show the custom field.
    But...
    You would not be able to sum up issues to epics without an add-on like portfolio or some such.
  3. Another option is to export the fields to .csv/ excel and make it happen there.

    Hope that helps...

hi ryan

I'm reading into this thread and it says it was resolved like it is possible to customize the linked issue pane with custom fields but I cannot find where or how to do that for cloud specifically. do you know or have a specific link highlighting how to do it.

thanks,

It is an open cloud issue, the server version thread has you altering tables. Pretty sure you cannot do so in the cloud version :|
