Hi,
I am a JIRA admin and i want to add other users as watcher for a particular ticket. when i go click on the watcher link its adding me as a watcher which i dont want. please advice.

Check your permission scheme who has the permission to add watchers.
Assuming you have this permission, then go to More Actions on the view issue screen and click on watchers, you will be able to add others as watchers from there.

the watcher option look like this " watcher(1)" just you need to click on number 1 then it will display inline popup ther you can enter user name

Note : you shou'd have "Manage Watchers" permission on project permission scheme
