how to have multiple users subscribe to a task with subtasks?

Deleted user May 20, 2020

We have created a bunch of Tasks with subtasks defining each item required for that task. Each subtask is assigned to a person. We want the whole team to be able to get notifications on the task at hand when it changes. I can not see a way to subscribe the members of the team to the root task?

Thanks Leon

hi :)
You can do it by opening the issue / ticket and at the top:
1. share interested team members
2. That they themselves click the eye to receive the notifications.
I hope I have helped you.
regards!

Hi thanks for replying. We tried that and it doesnt work and if it did, items being "tracked" per sub-task like time do not filter up to the "root" so we had to break apart all the subtasks into separate tasks :-(

Ouch!
what a pity!
As "Plan B" you could read this official page.
As "Plan Z (The Last)" you could choose to do a comment on the task or subtask the @ ... of those who are interested in you being there.
Sorry for not being able to help you more and better.
Successes!

Hi Jose...it's not that they need to be ASSIGNED but a watcher would do but it doesn't work. And as I mentioned, time doesn't filter up to the root task so it's basically worthless doing it that way unfortunately.

If someone can show us exactly how we can get that to work without much effort, we're all ears.

Thanks leon
