how to monitor activity similar to trello?

I wonder if it is possible to set a delivery date for story and in case of delay the jira notify me? Similar to trello

The only way I've done this is to monitor the Due Date field.  I setup the issues I want to Watch so I receive the notifications.

I also build a JIRA dashboard that show late tickets based on the due date. I share this dashboard with the project team and they can self-monitor the tickets that are falling behind.

I set the dates, but i wanted something to notify you whether the activity is overdue or not. I wanted to see some label on the card telling me if it is late
