I am trying to set up Jira so that when you type in the name i want set up in the address bar it takes me to Jira, instead of using the base url.  I'm not sure if you have to use a redirect or change the URL completely.  I have tried to change the url but i get blocked by IIS.  This is probably something simple but i can't remember what to do

Hi Kimo,

Can you explain what you mean by "the name"?

The closest I can think of that you may be referring to is the keyword based 'search engine' functionality in the browsers - eg: https://www.techrepublic.com/article/pro-tip-add-custom-search-engines-in-chrome-for-more-efficient-searching/

For us, we've configured jira as a keyword mapping to https://jira.example.org/secure/QuickSearch.jspa?searchString=%s

This means we can type in "jira PROJ-1" and it'll take us straight to the PROJ-1
