@ariel Note that @Fabio Racobaldo _Catworkx_ here is talking about products rather than projects - e.g. if you have a Free instance of Jira which isn't used for 120 days, the site will be deactivated.

However if you have a Jira site which is being used, the projects within them will never be deactivated.

Are you able to access your site?

ariel January 4, 2023

i cant access the old site
it disappear with all projects inside

ariel January 4, 2023

so how can i get the project back?

I would recommend reading the first answer on this similar question, specifically around the timeline of an inactive Jira site and the users who will have received the alerts and emails.

If your site has been inactive between 122 and 162 days, then it will have been deactivated but it is still recoverable. However if there has been more than 162 days of inactivity, your site will have been deleted and this cannot therefore be recovered unfortunately.

The reason for this is that Atlassian hosts all Cloud sites themselves. So if they kept every single free site created forever, this would require a huge amount of storage and would be very costly, so after a while of inactivity, if the users don't access the site, it gets deactivated and eventually deleted

i didnt get any email of it and i have checked any emails
so why dont they tell the user when he make a new project it may get removed
that's what is annoying  me
why so hard to let the user know that his project that he works so hard for it, may get deleted?
and even so why dont they send at least 10 emails to tell the user that his project may removed
that's so hard for this application to dedicate a little for the user?
is it too hard to ask for ?

ariel January 4, 2023

probably send to the spam and i missed it
so annnoying that you care that little about users and the application is so popular
i am so sorry that i even use this application and thought that it may worth it

ariel January 4, 2023

at least you can send me a message that the project remove from the server?
the message that the project is 100% removed ?

Please note that you are posting in a user community.  We are all users of Jira. We are not necessarily Atlassian employees.

Per the post linked by @Callum Carlile _Automation Consultants_ , multiple emails are sent.

The timeline goes:

60 days of inactivity - email is sent to tech contact, billing contact, site admin with the subject “[Action Required] Jump back in to <product name> to keep your subscription”
90 days of inactivity - email is sent to tech contact, billing contact, site admin with the subject “[Action Required] Your <product name> subscription will be cancelled in 30 days”
113 days of inactivity - a tech alert email is sent the to tech contact, billing contact, site admin with the subject “[Action Required] Your <product name> subscription will be cancelled in one week”
122 days of inactivity - site is deactivated and the tech contact, billing contact, and admin get an email with the title “[Important Notice] Your <product name> subscription has been deactivated”

ariel January 4, 2023

now i am 100% sure that i would notice it if they send it to my mail and not spam
probably it was sent to spam
and thats why i didnt see it

so all the emails wont help at all

i was mad at them and not who reply to me

that's so annoying that they don't give a damn about the users and their experience and do so little that the user will know something so important

Hi @ariel ,

welcome to the Atlassian community!

It could be caused by inactivity.

Inactive Free products will be deactivated

If all the Jira Cloud products on your site are on a Free plan, your Jira Cloud products will be deactivated after 120 days of inactivity. If any Jira Cloud product on your site is on a paid plan, this doesn’t apply to that site.

Activity is simply logging in and viewing any page within a Jira product on your site. For example, if you log in and view a dashboard, report, Jira admin screen, or issue, any of those would count as activity. To keep your site active, log in and view something to restart the 120 days.

If you’re a site admin, we’ll send you emails to let you know if your site is at risk of being deactivated due to inactivity so you can log in and take action to prevent deactivation.

if it happen
how can i get this project back?

ariel January 4, 2023

i didn't know anything about it
why dont they warn the user when he make a new project?
it is basic thing to let the user know what will happen to his project after 3 months
i didnt see any gmail about this project and i am always check my emails
